Each 15mm thick cross section of railway track is hand polished and engraved
with station names along the Rail Trail and registration number. The presentation pack lined in black silk includes registration certificate together with the rail's location and manufacturing history which mostly dates back to the late 1800's – early 1900's. As purchaser your details will be filed in the master index to safeguard investment value.
Not just brilliant memorabilia but a collectible with the very real promise of increasing in value. A striking ornament and wonderful talking point at dinner parties or when friends call round.
What makes this opportunity so special is its uniqueness. Railway track cross sections are available nowhere else in the world. Each is cut using technology developed by Ye Olde Tracks' Peter Hoskin. Hand polishing then creates a brilliant shine on the side that is then permanently etched with station names along the Otago Central Rail Trail.
By special request the purcaser's name – or name of recipient if to be given as a gift – can be etched into the polished surface.

Where the trail crosses Chicago Street go down the street in the direction of the Old Man Range that towers over Alexandra. It's number 11 – 13. You can't miss it.
