Each glass fronted unit quite literally embraces the elevated north-facing aspect that as well as all day sun provides 'big sky' views across Waipiata village and the Maniototo Plain to the distant Hawkdun and Ida Ranges. After a day on the Rail Trail what could be more rewarding than relaxing on the verandah outside your unit with a glass or two of Central Otago wine or an ice cold beer. When travelling as a group, the verandah is ideal for socialising before adjourning for a meal at Waipiata Country Hotel – be sure to advise the hotel that you'll be dining with them.

Opened in 2010, Waipiata Motel is furnished to high standards with amenities that include a small kitchenette with microwave and coffee and tea making, flat screen television, easy chairs, wall heater and a spacious bathroom with such necessities as a heater and hair-dryer.
