Flat whites, short blacks, cappuccinos, lattes and other favourites are now being served at the Oturehua Tavern! Owners Grahame and Liz have installed a state-of-the art 6-cup espresso machine so not only is the beverage every bit as good as a city cafe, you won't have a long wait. But should there be a bit of a queue, relax, take the weight of your feet and take in the fabulous views from our sheltered trail-friendly outdoor area.
Throughout the day and evening, home-cooked food is on the menu. Dishes like the 'Big Bike Burger', ploughman's platter and barbecue your own steaks. For the more diet conscious, Liz has fresh salads, wraps and paninis available.
This is a tavern after all, so enjoy a refreshing, ice cold Speights or any other of our broad selection of beers, spirits and wines, including a good cellar of Central Otago Pinot Noirs.
The Oturehua Tavern is also very accommodating. Out the back of this genuine Central Otago pub where the first pint of beer was pulled around 1900, an outbuilding has been converted into cosy and comfortable self-contained sleeping for four in single beds. |
