From the road it looks how most people would likely picture a building that between the early 1900's and 1995 was Lauders general store, post office and butchery. But on the inside, the historical mud brick store and much newer storekeeper's house have been transformed into possibly the most flexible accommodation along the Rail Trail. Lauder Store Accommodation can be configured to answer all guests’ requirements ranging from a couple seeking peace and privacy through to a group of 14 having fun doing the Rail Trail together. Two kitchens, two lounge areas plus four bathrooms (one accessible unit) provide modern facilities for an enjoyable stay.
Outdoors the large family-friendly property has a barbecue area, small children's playground, lockable garage and laundry facilities. Guests also have the opportunity to explore the local historical areas with Earl (4th generation local),a licensed tour driver. We can arrange transport for evening dining at the Vulcan Hotel in St Bathans. Food and refreshments are available at the Lauder Hotel and Stationside Cafe. KIWI HOT TUB-no chemicals added. Bookings Essential.

Our favourite accommodation along the trail. We were greeted with a scone, smile and Ben's two favourites!! Lavender soap and plunger coffee. Sad we could only stay one night. Ben and Jen Sosin, USA.
(Surprise 60th birthday for Kate.) Thank you for a very special place to celebrate with family. You have thought of everything.
